One of the most frequently asked questions that I get is: "What makes it a Black Tie Jeep?"
Jeep's answer is: The Black Tie Package features chrome enhancements providing a bright complement to any body color — sure to turn heads on the trail or the red carpet. Chrome features include 18-inch premium wheels, fuel filler door, front and rear bumpers, side steps, mirror covers, exhaust tip and taillamp guards. A Black-tie Decal proudly states this Wrangler is dressed to the nines.
Well that's nice but my answer is: “The sticker!”
I started out with a Wangler X TJ model but I wanted something different. So why did I go with the Black Tie Jeep edition. After doing some research I found out that the Black Tie Edition was a dealer option. Unfortunately no dealer offers it in the New England area. So I had my local Jeep dealer order me the decal. I’m not a fan of chrome but I thought that black was a real good contrasting color of my green jeep.
I believe that my version of "The Black Tie" Jeep is composed in the spirt of the MOPAR's Black Tie Jeep.
One of my next modifications that I'm looking to do is to have the Black Tie jeep logo embroidered into the front seats. This is not an option but I think it would be a great touch into bring the whole theme together.
